This past week was not as eventful as the previous few, which was quite welcome. Even though it seems like we didn’t do as much, I’m just as exhausted everyday. I guess at this point, that’s just how it’s going to be.
This week was all about getting the house ready for Baby Doser. Jamie worked more on the dresser, I organized the first load of baby stuff we brought home from the shower, we did some deep cleaning, I packed my bag, and we put the car seat in the car. Now that makes it seem like it’s going really fast!
We went to our home town (beautiful Dubuque, Iowa) to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday and my nephew’s sixth birthday on Sunday. As always, my sister pulled off an amazing event. The carnival-themed party was a hit with popcorn, hot dogs, a bounce house, carnival games and a piñata.
My feet are still swelling like nobody’s business, but my blood pressure is still perfect. I measured small at my last appointment, and my midwife told me to go for growth. Apparently all the ice cream paid off, because she was impressed at our appointment last night. I’m going to have my work cut out for me to get back into my pre-baby clothes come August!
